The PMC includes security units for booting and low-level system protection. The security units also provide support for software in the RPU, APU, and other processors. The PMC interconnect is shown in the PMC Subsystem chapter.
PMC Security Units
The PMC includes the following security units:
- AES accelerator with CBC, CFB, OFB, CTR, ECB, CCM, GCM, CMAC, and GHASH modes
- SHA2
- SHA3-384 standard
- Public key cryptographic algorithms ECDSA, RSA, LMS
- True random number generator
- Physically unclonable function to create a signature and a KEK to encrypt AES keys
