The MIO pin options for the OSPI flash boot modes are listed in the MIO Boot Interfaces table. All MIO pin signal options are listed in the MIO-at-a-Glance Tables section.
The I/O buffers for each pin connected to the boot device are configured the same. See the MIO Boot Interface Pin Buffer Settings section.
Interface Connection Diagrams
The OSPI flash interface connections are shown in the OSPI Flash Interface Diagrams section of the Octal SPI flash memory controller chapter.
Interface Signals
The OSPI interface signals are listed in the OSPI Flash Interface Signals section of the Octal SPI flash memory controller chapter.
The reset output signal must be connected to the OSPI flash device. The OSPI boot process and the software drivers drive an output signal from the PMC GPIO channel 12 to reset the flash device. When the RCU BootROM code detects the OSPI boot mode, it asserts and then deasserts the MIO[12] pin to reset the flash memory to a default state during boot.
