Here is the list of prerequisites.
  • Linux kernel version 4.15 or later.
  • To profile an application with Overview Analysis, run the script AMDuProfSetup.sh from AMDuProf installed directory with root access.
    $sudo ./AMDuProfSetup.sh
    Note: When you install AMD uProf using the DEB package, the installer automatically executes the script.
  • If the system has AMD Instinct accelerators, install the AMD ROCm™ v6.3.3 on the host system.
  • After AMD ROCm™ 6.3 installation, make sure the symbolic link of /opt/rocm/ points to /opt/ rocm-6.3.3/.
    $ ln -s /opt/rocm-6.3.3/ /opt/rocm/
  • Supported accelerators - AMD Instinct™ MI200 and MI300A.
