Install ROCm™

Install AMD ROCm 6.3.3 on the target system to run GPU Tracing. uProf also supports backward compatibility until version 5.2.1.

Complete the following procedure to install ROCm:

  1. Complete the steps in the ROCm Installation Guide to install AMD ROCm™ v6.3 on the host system.
  2. After AMD ROCm™ 6.3 installation, make sure the symbolic link of /opt/rocm/ points to /opt/ rocm-6.3.3/.
    $ ln -s /opt/rocm-6.3.3/ /opt/rocm/
    Note: Tracing might not work as expected on 5.2.1 or older versions.
  3. Supported accelerators - AMD Instinct™ MI200 and MI300A.
