This release has the following known issues and limitations:

• AOCC binaries can run optimally only on Linux systems with glibc version 2.28 or later.
• Currently, Flang supports only 64-bit targets.
• LD_PRELOAD of AMDALLOC library is not compatible with glibc 2.39 (Ubuntu 24.04).

  Segmentation fault is observed when performing an LD_PRELOAD of libamdalloc while running Python with PyTorch on Ubuntu 24.04. The suggested workaround is as follows.

  $ python -c "import torch; import os; os.environ['LD_PRELOAD'] = './libamdalloc.so'; print(torch.__version__)"

  However, this issue is not seen with glibc 2.40, which is part of an Ubuntu 24.10 system.
