000037397 - Design Advisory for 7 Series, UltraScale/UltraScale+ Stacked Silicon Interconnect (SSIT) Devices: Stacked Silicon Interconnect Readback Vulnerability - An issue has been identified in the SLR-to-SLR interconnect of 7 Series, UltraScale and UltraScale+ SSIT Devices which is only apparent when SSIT packages are disassembled in order to gain access to the internal micro bumps. The SLR-to-SLR interconnects are treated by the device as an internal interface, not an external I/O. An adversary that can get physical access to the die-to-die interface can read back the unencrypted configuration of the device. AMD believes that the mitigation described below protects against this vulnerability. This issue has been found to affect SSIT FPGA devices from the AMD 7 Series, UltraScale, and UltraScale+ series.
