In addition to processing Lookup Requests, the CAM Database processes Management Requests. The CAM Database is fully pipelined. If the TDM factor is one, a new Lookup Request is processed every RAM clock cycle. If the TDM factor is two, the pipeline processes a new Lookup Request every second RAM clock cycle, and so on. The CAM Database can process one Management Request in a single RAM clock cycle independent of the TDM factor.
