The Video Codec Unit (VCU) is available in Versal AI Edge Series Gen 2 and Versal Prime Series Gen 2 devices. VCU provides multi-standard and multi-stream encoding and decoding, using the H.265 and H.264 video compression standards. VCU contains both encoding and decoding functions, and is capable of simultaneous encode and decode at rates up to 4Kx2K resolution at 60 frames per second (fps).
