The Video Codec Unit (VCU) is available for Versal Prime Series Gen 2 devices and few Versal AI Edge Series Gen 2 devices. VCU provides multi-standard and multi-stream encoding and decoding, using the H.265 and H.264 video compression standards. The VCU contains both encode and decode functions, and is capable of simultaneous encode and decode at rates up to 4K x 2K-60 frames per second (fps).
