After a hardware reset, all hardware states are cleared except the DRAM content. This means that the cache is cleared, and all statistics counters are cleared. The state between DRAM and the software driver shadow is inconsistent. For this reason, the SW API bcam_create function must be called prior to allowing any operations including lookups to be performed in the CAM. bcam_create ensures that the hardware and software are synchronized.
